Overview
The client needed a full web presence for their High Fantasy / Xianxia novel Rebirth Against Heaven — not just a reading platform, but a world to explore. Readers had to be able to follow the story, dive into the lore, listen to audiobooks, read the author's blog, and subscribe for updates.
The result is a dark, atmospheric website with a reader-first design — optimized for long reading sessions with clean typography, chapter-by-chapter navigation, and an immersive audio mode.

Atmospheric narration with genre-appropriate sound design for an immersive listening experience.
Design Approach
The visual identity is built around a dark, near-black background with gold/amber accents — reflecting the cultivation aesthetic of the genre without leaning into generic fantasy clichés.
The interactive world map was designed as an SVG diagram with animated region highlights, giving readers a spatial sense of the story world without requiring a full illustrated map asset.
Every section was built with Framer Motion animations tuned for subtlety — the goal was atmosphere, not spectacle.
